Freeze Up, Freak Out or Fail

This 2-session workshop focuses on ways to assist you to make the most of your fieldwork experiences, and to overcome the common challenges faced on prac.

Program overview

The two sessions aim to assist students who are in any way anxious or concerned about their practical placements to develop their resilience for the challenges they may face once there. Topics covered include understanding what stress is and the fight or flight response, strategies for managing stress generally, effective communication when on placement, how to better receive feedback, and coping with setbacks.
