Mentoring for high school students
Curtin Addressing Higher Educational Access Disadvantage (AHEAD) is an innovative mentoring program that fosters the potential of groups and individuals who are underrepresented in higher education.
As an AHEAD Mentor, you’ll share your academic knowledge, insights into university life and experiences transitioning from high school to university in order to help students develop their academic skills, confidence and understanding of higher education.

To become a Curtin AHEAD Mentor, you must:
- be currently enrolled at Curtin
- have effective communication skills
- have a passion for working with children
- be genuine, engaging, and willing to learn.
