How to graduate
Follow the guide below to register to attend a ceremony or graduate in absentia.
In your final study period, make sure your course requirements are met and necessary paperwork complete before the relevant deadline:
- Semester 1 2021 deadline: 23 July 2021
- Semester 2 2021 deadline: TBC

You can update your contact details and check for outstanding fees or fines in eStudent via OASIS. You must clear all sanctions to be eligible to graduate. To do this, log into OASIS, click eStudent in the my studies tab.
Please check that your name is correct as per your full legal name. To change your name, please submit the Change of Personal Details form before advised date.
* Change of name not allowable if the award has already been conferred by Curtin Council.
Graduation registrations are sent out twice per year (usually in July and December).
Your graduation registrations will be sent to your Official Communication Channel (OCC) in OASIS.
Follow the instructions in your invitation to register to attend a ceremony or graduate in absentia. You may choose to defer your ceremony for up to 12 months after conferral.
Please note: You must register to receive your Graduation Pack (Award Certificate and full Academic Transcript).
Graduation invitations will not be sent via the post, to your Curtin email or to personal email accounts.
|8 July||Completed students can either register to attend the Perth ceremony in September, have their award mailed or defer to 2022.|
|23 July||Last date to submit completed Change of Personal Details. |
Last date to update preferred mailing address in eStudent.
Last date to clear all sanctions.
Last date for students to submit an Application for Intermediate Award in order to register for the September ceremonies.
|30 July||Last date for graduates to register to receive their graduation documents.|
Final date for Registration.
Students who complete after this date will be conferred the following month, after the ceremonies.
|6 August||Major council conferral date prior to September Perth Graduation Ceremonies.|
