How to graduate

A graduation invitation will be sent by Progression, Assessment and Awards Office staff via the Official Communication Channel (OCC) to eligible course completed students after result release for Semester 1 and Semester 2.

Follow the guide below to register to attend a ceremony or graduate in absentia.

Ensure you are eligible to graduate

In your final study period, make sure your course requirements are met and necessary paperwork complete before the relevant deadline:

  • Semester 1 2021 deadline: 23 July 2021
  • Semester 2 2021 deadline: 12 January 2022

For more information, please contact Curtin Connect.

Please note that everyone attending a graduation ceremony will be required to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination (or proof of exemption). Any non-vaccinated graduands will be required to graduate in absentia.

Clear sanctions and update personal details

You can update your contact details and check for outstanding fees or fines in eStudent via OASIS. You must clear all sanctions to be eligible to graduate. To do this, log into OASIS, click eStudent in the my studies tab.

Please check that your name is correct as per your full legal name. To change your name, please submit the Change of Personal Details form before advised date.

* Change of name not allowable if the award has already been conferred by Curtin Council.

Receive your graduation invitation and register

Graduation registrations are sent out twice per year after result Release for Semester 1 and Semester (usually in July and December).

Your graduation invitation will be sent to your Official Communication Channel (OCC) in OASIS.

Follow the instructions in your invitation to register to attend a ceremony or graduate in absentia. You may choose to defer your ceremony for up to 12 months after conferral.
