After graduation
Curtin alumni
If you are a Curtin graduate then you are a member of the Curtin Alumni Network. Any student who is conferred with a degree or other qualification from Curtin University is considered an alumnus.
To stay connected with Curtin and fellow alumni, keep your contact details up to date on the Curtin Alumni website .
Also keep your contact details up to date on OASIS via e-Student. Graduates of Curtin have continued access to OASIS, so you can access/update your details online at any time.
Graduate Outcomes Survey
The Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) is a national survey funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training, and it collects information on graduates' labour market outcomes and further study activities.
Replacing the Graduate Destination Survey (GDS; a component of the Australian Graduate Survey), from 2016 onwards, GOS is administered online to graduates of Australian higher education institutions about five months after their course completion at or via an Australian campus, i.e., Australian onshore graduates including HECS and international fee paying students.
Particularly for Curtin University, the GOS has been adapted internally for graduates at the Curtin Malaysia campus and the Singapore campus. The adaptation is referred to as the Curtin Graduate Outcomes Survey (CGOS).
Refer to Graduate Outcomes Survey for further information.
Post nominals
Once your award has been conferred you can use the approved abbreviation of your award after your name. This is called a post nominal. The Awards and Graduation Manual provides details on how post nominals can be used.
The correct post nominal letters that apply to your course are provided in Curtin Handbook with your course information.
