Late payment of tuition fees
The below information applies to international students only. If you are a domestic student, you must pay upfront or if eligible submit an eCAF by the due date.
In most cases, if you are an international student you must make full upfront payment of your tuition fees by the due date of the relevant study period. If you do not make full payment, you will risk having your enrolment cancelled.
If you are unable to make full payment by the due date
If you are unable to pay your fees in full by the due date because you are experiencing extenuating circumstances, you will have the option to appeal against the cancellation of your enrolment once the due date has passed.
If your fees have not been paid in full by the due date, you will receive an Official Communication via OASIS notifying you of the University’s intention to cancel your enrolment. This communication will include a link to an online form, where you can submit an appeal against the cancellation of your enrolment.
The online appeal form will allow you to request a payment extension or instalment plan for payment of your tuition fees.
Situations where an appeal may be considered include, but are not limited to:
- Financial hardship caused by natural disaster
- Death or illness of a close relative
- Medical reasons
Note: you will be charged a late payment fee if your tuition is paid after the due date, even if you submit an appeal.
20 working day appeal period
You will have 20 working days from the date you receive the Official Communication to either make full payment of your tuition fees or submit an appeal.
You will continue to receive outstanding fee reminders during this time, but your enrolment will not be cancelled within the 20 working day appeal period.
If you are able to make any partial payments towards your tuition fees, you are encouraged to do so. However, if your enrolment is cancelled due to non-payment of tuition fees you may not be eligible for a refund.
Please see the International student refund agreement for further information.
