The student services and amenities fee (SSAF) supports the provision of a wide range of non-academic services and amenities to all students. It is charged to most students in addition to their tuition fees.
Curtin uses the SSAF revenue to enhance the university experience and expand and improve our services and amenities.

To everyone who responded, thank you for taking a moment to have your say. The valuable feedback you provided helped inform where the SSAF Expenditure Advisory Committee recommended the SSAF revenue will be spent in 2024.

More about the SSAF
SSAF allocation is decided by Curtin’s Student Services and Amenities Fees Expenditure Advisory Committee, which has representation from Curtin staff (50%) and the Curtin Student Guild (50%). Each year the committee considers proposals and decides which facilities and services should receive funding, with project proposals informed by a range of sources which can include surveys, consultations and evaluations of previously funded activities. Half of our SSAF revenue goes to projects led by Curtin University, the other half goes to projects led by the Curtin Student Guild. The committee monitors project progress and expenditure to ensure that all SSAF money is spent effectively and in accordance with legislation.
