Credit for Recognised Learning appeal

Purpose

When a student receives notification that their application for Credit for Recognised Learning has been denied and they believe the decision to be unjustified they can formally appeal the decision.

Process

A formal appeal requires a letter to the Manager, Admissions within ten (10) working days of notification of the outcome of an application for CRL . On receipt of the appeal an acknowledgement receipt will be issued within five (5) working days. A decision will be made within ten (10) working days of acknowledgement and the student will be notified in writing of this decision.

Tips

Approach the Head of School informally first to discuss your prior learning achievements. If you feel you are still not receiving acknowledgement of your prior learning then put it in writing. State what you believe you should be recognised for and offer proof of these achievements along with the letter.
