Attendance mode

When you enrol in units at Curtin you will sometimes have an option as to what attendance mode you will use to complete those units.  Attendance mode refers to how the unit is delivered to you.

Typically an attendance mode is "internal", or on-campus, however there are others that may apply to your units.  All of the modes are listed below.

Internal Where you learn through regular ongoing face-to-face tutorials, lectures and laboratory sessions on campus on an agreed schedule, for the purposes of supervision and/or instruction.
Partially Online Internal Where some of the learning is provided by interacting with the Internet or downloading pre-packaged material from the Internet; but you have regular, ongoing face-to-face learning on-campus.
Fully Online Where the main mode of learning is provided by interacting with the Internet or downloading pre-packaged material from the Internet.
External Where materials and assignments are distributed to you by post or via Internet.  Learning is directed by structured materials and is effectively self-paced. External studies are delivered through Open University Australia or directly through the relevant Curtin teaching area.
